Weber carburetors have inspired many young motoring enthusiasts as well as motorsport competitors for years, the brand has been around since the 1920’s when they were involved in producing conversion kits for Fiats.

Weber carburetors were originally produced in Italy and are known as the pioneers in the use of two stage twin barrel carbs with two venturis of different sizes, smaller one was for slow speed running, the larger one optimised high speed use.  These carbs could be found on the likes of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Ferrari, BMW, Lamborghini. Maserati, Porsche, Lotus and Ford to name but a few.

By 1930 Weber carburetors were producing twin barrel carbs for racing applications where two barrels of the same dimensions were used, these racing Weber carburetors were arranged so that each cylinder of the engine had its own barrel.
Genuine Weber carburetors were produced in Bologna, Italy up until around 1990 when production was transferred to Madrid in Spain where they continue to be produced today.  In the USA, Weber carburetors are sold for both street and off-road use, mostly sold as a conversion kit which should include all the necessary bits to make the conversion such as manifold adaptor, throttle linkage, air filter etc.
We can offer many applications of Weber carburetors and it is best to check here first to ensure that a conversion kit or replacement carb is available for your car.

We know that in today’s world, fuel injection has replaced carburetors however we at Autocruising.com are aware that Weber carburetors are still very much in demand and used extensively in classic and historic racing, indeed one of our staff members had a classic running on Weber carburetors.
